So I got the pants, and a couple other things

 Yep, I just wanted them.  Maybe getting some new stuff will motivate myself to getting back into working out again.   No, but wanting to change the way my body looks will motivate me, that's for sure,

Anyway, here's what I got.


I really love Constantly Varied Gear stuff.  The 5in shorts are just amazing.  And they have a pocket on both sides, way big enough for my phone, and a band to help them actually stay down so it doesn't look like my inner thighs are eating them when I'm walking. 

I've been so torn on what kind of workouts I want to do.  And really the best kind of workout is the one you love to do.  So I think I'm going back to my main loves.  Heavy weight lifting, 2 days a week for now.  Spinning 1 day a week.  A Crossfit style workout 1 day a week and then a "whatever" 1 day a week.   Might be walking on the treadmill. Might be a DVD workout.   Might be a streaming workout. But just do whatever I want as long as it lasts 15 min or more.

I also am going to get back to tracking calories   I need to. I know I'm eating a little to much.  Or am I?  I mean I've not been nearly as active here lately, but I've not gained anything.  Maybe I'm eating at maintenance and once I get to working out again, I'll be eating at a loss.  Either way, I need to track to see where I'm at, eating wise. Then I can see if I start to lose weight and inches, or gain weight and inches.  Then make adjustments as I need.  But give it 2-3 weeks to give my body time to decide if its happy or not lol.

I do think when fall comes, and I can hide in sweat pants and sweatshirts, I'll go on a period of extreme heavy lifting to build as much muscle as I can.  I do want to see how strong I can get.  I've always wanted to deadlift 300lb, and the best I've gotten is 250lbs.  I bet I could get to that magic number 300lbs if I really worked at it.  A goal for the end of the year!

I want these! I don't need them but I want them

 


They are from Constantly Varied Gear and I love them!  I have several pair and they are so nice.  Even the shorts have pockets big enough for my cell phone!  I don't need them at all, but dang, these are so nice!  I just picked up a couple more pair of CVG a couple weeks ago, but these look so Halloweenie and I love it.  Maybe I'll just splurge a little on myself(again) and get them LOL

I'm also trying to see if I can get myself back into bullet journaling again.  I was into it for a while, and I think I can make a nice fitness one if I'd just take the time to do it.  I mean, i can make it how I want it, but that also means sitting down and drawing out what I want.  Which being a zero in artistic ability, means its a bit of a drag.  But I don't want one of those pre-made bullet journals cause then its not what I want.   But then I see these Archer and Oliver journals and the cover is just so pretty I want it lol

But I already have one that's partially been used, and I in waiting lol.   So its silly to want a new one just to try to get back into bullet journaling.    I think I'll start slowly and do things like track my steps, then steps and workouts.  And once I get a habit started, I'll move from my fitness Happy Planner into a fitness bullet journal. Cause it is nice to be able to make what I want how I want and use half a page a day,or 2 pages a day.   And if I get half way through I'll get myself a new one. I'm sure they will either have this one, or one I like just as well, or better.

I've been wearing makeup more often than I had been and enjoying it a lot too.  Elf has been making some bomb products and well Elf is so freaking inexpensive I love it!  Their CC Camo cream has quickly turned into one of my favorite foundations.  And I love their little 4 color eye shadow quads.  I mean they are like 3 bucks and last all day and look great.  What's not to love?  Maybe I'll do a review of it sometime.

Summer Colds suck but I have new shoes!

 So I still have my cold but it is better.  Thank goodness.  I mean who wants to be hot and have a cold all at the same time? No one, that's who.  Cause I like to run my vaporizer with some eucalyptus oil in it to help but no way I'm doing that in summer lol.  But its almost better.  Hope its all the way gone in another day or so.

The good news is I got my new Brooks in today.  Wasn't expecting them until tomorrow so that's good.  Here they are!



 I was going to try them out today, but several days of poor sleep have caught up to me.  That and I'm still having trouble breathing so I'll wait one more day.  

What I need to do, not that its nice and cool in my house and I can think again 😁 is make a real plan on my workouts.  Like an actual plan, do "this" on Monday, "that" on Tuesday, etc.   And I really want to get some yoga/stretching in.  They have great yoga workouts on the Peloton app  I should really do some of them. It would do me good to regain some of my lost flexibility. 

So my plan is, I'm going to make a plan LOL.  Sounds silly to read it,but I do need to sit and think about my goals and what would be the best way to get to my goals.

So I'm starting a new blog

 I wasn't feeling my old one anymore.   I wanted a new blog that's 90% going to be a focus on losing weight and getting this Glamma, which is a cute name for a woman who's young and glamourous and has grown kids that have kids of their own.  And I'm totally glamourous sitting in my flip flops and unshaved legs 😂

2020 was well, both good and bad for me.  We bought a new house with a small acreage, 10 acres to be exact.  Got some horses, which was a dream cause I've been a horse lover for decades and had a horse until we got married.   So to get a horse again after 30 years, it was fantastic. 

But we did a lot more calling out for food cause we wanted to support the local restaurants when they were shut down for dine in thanks to the pandemic. And that came with a weight gain, which is NOT what I needed.   

And even though I've got a Peloton bike, Peloton treadmill, hundreds of fitness DVDs, a home gym with 2 Olympic bars and a bunch of weights,  a couple fitness streaming sites, plus all the free stuff off YouTube, I've been a giant SLACKER 😬  Which has not helped me either control any weight gain, or improve my fitness level. 

So I started this week to get my crap together and get back to it.  Then I got a gut punch.  Got a couple workouts in and got a nice cold from my granddaughter, who at not quite 2, thinks snotty kisses are a great thing.  Oh, and our air conditioner died.  When it was 90 degrees outside.  😲  And of course the part we need isn't in stock and was ordered but won't be here till Monday.  So we're sitting here in a house that yesterday got up to 90 degrees.  Thank goodness a thunderstorm came through and cooled it off outside and we got the house down to 73. And a cold front is moving in today so it will be better.

I ordered these shoes yesterday.


I do love Brooks running shoes. Wore them a lot when I was working full time and I've worn them back in the day when I walked/jogged.  So I'm going to get back on that treadmill and do some classes on that treadmill to help get back into shape.

I'm also going to hit that bike at least once a week, and do some CrossFit style workouts once a week and do a DVD or streaming workout once a week. 

And back to loosely tracking macros.  Mostly making sure I'm getting enough protein in.  

So, I'll make sure I blog here to keep anyone who cares, updated on my progress.  Its mostly going to be fitness, but maybe a little beauty, skin care, etc.  And maybe even a review or two on gadgets, DVD, classes I take and that sort of thing
