I'm sick BOOOOOO

Ok maybe I'm actually up out of bed, but I napped twice today.  First time was cause I only slept maybe 4 hours before being unable to breath out of my nose woke me up.

Then I was just exhausted in the afternoon so I took another nap.  I still feel tired.  Probably cause I keep running low grade fevers off and on.  100.8F last night.   99.6F right now.   Nothing horrible but bad enough I just feel UGH.

I was gonna get my flu shot and updated Covid shot this week but I'll have to wait until I'm better.

This has also thrown a wrench into my workout plans.  But trust me, I'd rather be lifting weights than having a low fever and a sore nose from blowing it so much and having it hurt to swallow cause my throat hurts.

That's about it for now.  Maybe I'll feel better in a couple days.

Delayed my Challenge

I decided to wait until after Labor Day, or rather the Sat and Sun of Labor Day weekend.   The family went camping, I stayed at home cause someone needed to care for all the cats, dogs and horses.  I even went to town to feed our oldest daughter's cats.  They dropped their 2 dogs off at our house.  So I had 6 dogs to care for.

But now that it's Labor Day and "summer" is over

It's time cause I weighted myself and it was bad.  But yet, I ate chips, dip and so much sodium in my diet this weekend.  That and it's been

I mean high temps near 100F.  HOT.  Way to hot.  I always retain fluid like mad when it's hot like this. Today is a lot cooler, thanks to thunderstorms that rolled through yesterday and this morning.  Tomorrow back to the oven, but then it FINALLY decides that maybe fall is here and temps cool off to more normal.

I've been loosely tracking macros off and on the last month or so.  I kind of think part of my problem is that I don't eat enough calories most of the time, then I kind of binge eat 3000 calories for a couple days and totally blow any calorie deficit away.

And I think the low, almost to low if you ask me, calories I eat are helping me not have the energy to really get up and go.  So for the last week or so, I've made more of an effort to get more calories in me.  200-300ish.  And you know what,  I'm feeling more energetic, sleeping a little better and over all feel more peaceful.  Like my brains is like "finally, I've got enough food"

I think this fall/winter I'm going to work on a small body recomp.  Workout hard, actually push myself with how heavy I can lift, and eat at maintenance.  Then maybe when winter is tapering off, I can cut calories by 100-200 a day, nothing to strick, and cut a bit.

I'm also going to try and grow a butt during my recomp.  I've been half ass 😂punn not intended, working on a good glute routine, and I do think it's helped a little. But well, I want to grow a little more of a booty and keep what I do have up where it belongs.  I think the small amount I've done has mostly helped lift up what I've got, which is great.  Now I need to grow what I've got.

That's about it for this time.  Gonna try and bump up the amount I blog.

My 75 Soft Challenge

Something I've thought about doing for a long time.  Something I've started, a few times, then quit or something happened and I'd stop.  But it's always been nagging me in the back of my head that I should really see what 75 of consistency would do for my health and wellness.

Then, to add to that, while surfing TikTok, this kept popping up

I mean every few videos I'd watch this popped up as an add.    So I ordered it.  Got it this week.

And Monday I'm going to start.    I'm also going to give myself little rewards for completing the first 7 days, then day 25, day 50 and day 75 will be a bigger reward.

I think for day 7, it will be something small.  A couple new watch bands for my Galaxy watch.

Day 25 maybe a new eye shadow palette or new fingernail polish.

Day 50 new workout shoes, or new workout wear.

Day 75 I don't know LOL.  Something a little bigger.   Maybe a nice shopping splurge.   I'll try to figure it out eventually

So you'll be reading up on how I'm doing for my Soft 75 Challenge over the next 12 weeks or so.

I'm sick and tired of being fat and tired

This is me. I'm 100% over it.  I'm so tired of being fat.  Buying clothes and they either don't fit right, look horrible, or I just hate the very large number of the size they are.  I'm over it.

Tomorrow my official plan gets made.  I'm going to see what I can accomplish before the end of the year.   I'm going to start a weight lifting routine of 3 days a week plus spin 1-2 days a week  My weights will be a focus of glute building. As I've gotten older, by butt has both gotten flatter but it's also started to head south.

And cause your glutes are the biggest muscle group, building them up will burn the most calories. So hey I'll look better, have stronger glutes, I'll also burn a few more calories

And the best thing is my husband is going to do his own weight loss journey too.  He got on the scale this last week and was horrified at how large the number was.  The most he's ever weighed.   And he's been told a few times that losing weight might help his back pain.  So he's actually going to try to lose weight.  Start slow,  Walk a few times a week with out fat beagle Odin.  Maybe get the Total Gym out to do some resistance training.  And clean up our diet.

Cause of course eating healthy is the super hard part.  Add in all the food contamination that we're having right now.  Diarrhea lettuce,  contaminated eggs, beef with flesh eating worms, and God knows what else it's almost scary to try and eat.

On Monday I'm going up to the city and I'm going to hit a few grocery stores that have veggies that are not from Taylor Farms.  Seems like that's where the contaminated lettuce is from.   Cause eating more fruit veggie and plenty of protein is in my future.

I took a whole week off!

My hubby is away for about 10 days.  I don't mind. He was military and gone sometimes for months after 9/11 and I'm very use to both being alone, and my introverted self is happy being alone, with all my book boyfriends LOL.  I keep getting more and more book boyfriends the more I read. And I read a lot.  Like over 120 new books this year alone

At first I was all like "I'm going to do this and this and this, and workouts all the time and get so much stuff done"
This is what happened

Yep I've not done much of anything.  But read.  I've done a lot of reading.  A couple rereads of favorite books and like 5 new books have been read in the week hubby has been gone. And watched A LOT of horror movies. It's scary movie month, don't you know.  Oh, I've still taken care of our animals, cause they still need fed, let out to potty and looked after/  And I've done laundry and basic stuff like that.  I did also manage to declutter some of my lipsticks and lip glosses cause that needed done.

But I've not worked out in a full week.   And to be honest, I'm fine with that.  Tomorrow I'll get back on track after enjoying my time off.

I think every so often it's not a bad thing to just take some time to do literally next to nothing.  It's been very enjoyable.

Maybe I'll plan for another week to do nothing or next to nothing, sometime in Jan of next year.   Maybe I just need to plan for a week off every 3 months or so.

Tomorrow I'll get back on my walking and weight lifting.  Maybe I'd better get my log book set up for the next week.

Well that sucked

So I went on antibiotics for about 10 days due to an infected cat bite.  My own fault for getting bit.  Anyway, I had a 10 day course of Bactrim and Clindamycin.  I finished up on Wed.  Noticed a bit of a rash around my right forearm close to where the bite was.  Nothing much.  Thought I rubbed up on something taking care of my horses or the fly spray I sprayed the horses down with got on me.  No big deal

WRONG

I woke up Thursday like this

And the rash didn't just cover my back.  Oh no.  On my chest, belly some down my legs.  I even had a few hives on my toes. And on my face as well.  Thank goodness not much on my face cause well, having facial hives was making me a little like "am I going to start getting throat swelling?"

So itchy  I literally wanted to scratch my skin off cause if my skin was off, maybe it wouldn't be itchy anymore.    It got worse, and worse and worse as the day went on.

Finally I went into the doctor on Friday and well. I'm on Prednisone now.  And Benadryl, and Pepcid cause Pepcid also has antihistamine properties.  and to double up on my Zyrtec for a week.

I am SO DRY now.  My mouth and lips feel so dry.  And I still look like some sort of runaway from a leprosy colony.  But it's fading.  And it's no longer itchy.  Thank goodness.  I hope in a few more days I won't be covered in a rash cause it does just look bad.   And sweat still makes it feel itchy, so I'm going to reduce my intensity of workouts for a few more days.   Cause I'm finally getting better, and I don't want to go backwards.

Here's hoping that my rash goes away really quickly and I can get back to crushing my workouts again really soon.

This was me on Friday

Yep, I did a leg day on Wed.  Now Thus I was plenty sore, but man on Friday I was MEGA sore.  And I kind of liked it in a weird way.

Silly thing is, I'm doing leg day again on Monday.  I'm going to bump up my weights to 4 days a week with 2 leg/glute days.  So I'll not be able to walk at all all week long LOL.  Oh well.  You don't build a booty without doing leg/glute work a few times, right.

My walking challenge has been going great.  I've walked at least 20 min everyday this month.  And I've doing some sort of workout for 9 days in a row.  I'm feeling better, sleeping a little better, and overall just feel really good.

I've been also working on getting in one more serving of fruit/veggies every day.  Just one more cause I want to make it a habit.  And I'm working on getting a little more protein in my diet and cutting out sugary snacks.  I need to get back into the habit of eating a higher protein breakfast.  I tend to have way less "I want a snack"  in the evenings when I get a good amount of protein at breakfast time.   So maybe tonight I'll make up some hard boiled eggs cause they are a quick easy breakfast staple for me.

I need to really decide what reward I want to give to myself when I finish this walking challenge.  Cause I'm going to do it!

I think in Oct I'm going to try a Soft 75 challenge.  I mean, why not, right.

We're in the "ber" months now!

My favorite months!  It cools down, Halloween, the bugs all die and go to hell, Halloween, scary movie month, Halloween, Christmas. Halloween LOL  I like Halloween, what can I say.

I officially started my Walking challenge yesterday.  Two days in the month and I've walked more than my 15 min for both!  YIPPIE.

I also got back to lifting heavy again today.  Man it felt great!  Chest shoulders and just a bit of booty work.  It's time to start building that booty. So I'm tacking on a little booty work on after upper body days.

Now for the month of Sept, I'm only going to lift 3 days a week.  It's a break in period. Then I'll take a week off, do some of my DVD workouts, and then my plan is to go up to 4 days a week of lifting.  2 leg/glute days and 2 upper body days.  I'm also planning on sticking with walking 15-30 min every day, minus days I'm sick of course.  But I don't get sick very often so that's a good thing.

I also got this book out.

I read a big chunk of it a couple years ago. So I got it out and decided it's time to really read it.  I'm only on chapter 2 but me and my highlighter have hit up a few phrases that spoke to me.

It feels good to get back to really trying to take care of myself.  I lost 24lbs, and regained 7.5.  Which pissed me off.  It just feels good to work on getting that 7.5lbs I regained off, and then I can focus on losing the 25-30lbs I want to get rid of.  I want to be a fit and healthy grandma for all my grandkids, and for me as well.

Project "Build a Booty" will be starting soon

After a summer of wishy washy workouts, not being able to decide what I want to do, what I want to accomplish as far as fitness goes, and TBH, just sitting around and reading to much (is there such a thing???)  I've finally decided what I want to try and do with myself.

I want to have a butt.

Oh, I physically have one, I mean, it's hard to not have one, but I've been a founding member of the Flat Booty Squad for decades now.  Back in my CrossFit days in the early 2010s, I was starting to build a little bit of a round booty.  But then cause I changed jobs and it was much harder to get to CrossFit, I quit going and started working out at home more, and it didn't get any rounder or nicer.

And then these last 4 years I've slacked WAY off and now, that little bit I had went on vacation.  South.   And I'm sick of it.

I've been watching a lot of videos, reading some programs, and on some fitness groups dedicated to growing your glutes, and I'm trying to come up with a program that works for me, and what equipment I have in my home gym.  I have quite a bit of equipment so I can do quite a bit.  I've been thinking I'll lift weights 4 days a week, 2 days for lower body both with heavy emphasis on glutes and hamstrings, and 2 days for upper body and abs.

Every 6 weeks or so, I'll take a week to do other types of workouts, like my DVDs and YouTube workouts cause I have quite a few of them, and I still want to do them from time to time  So if I can schedule a week to do them every 6 weeks while taking a mini break from lifting heavy that's a good thing.

I'm also doing a challenge in Sept with a group of ladies on Facebook, all of us are 50 and older.  It's a walking challenge.  I'm going to walk a minimum of 15 min everyday in Sept.  Working up to more, but 15 min minimum.  I'd like to start walking outside with my fat beagle Odin, but it's gonna have to cool off a bit for us to go out and do that.  But it looks like maybe in Sept the temps will go down a bit and I could start walking out with Odin a couple days a week.  Do us both good to get some extra steps in.   He needs to lose weight himself just like I do.

So for the rest of the year I'll be like this

Followed up with this

Twas my birthday yesterday

I turned 54 yesterday.  A pretty good day too.  I sat and read a book, the whole book.  I also watched some Mystery Science Theater 3000, which was great cause the movie was just awful!     OMG I just love MST3K.   They always make me laugh.

And I've decided to just relax a little this weekend.  I've got my youngest grandchild's 1st birthday party tomorrow.  We share a birthday so she's just a little extra special in that way.   Then on Sunday my hubby and I are going to go see

And it's federal law I get movie theater popcorn and candy when we go to the movies.  Which is only about 3-4 times a year so I can have it and not feel guilty about it.  And this movie, I've been waiting for SO BAD. Little mad I have to wait until Sunday but it is what it is,

Then Monday, I'll get back into my workouts.  Get back to walking on the treadmill while watching an episode of TV.  Back to lifting weights, I think I'm going to do the PS series for this first week, and back to eating healthy again. And prepare myself for getting in a much better state of health and fitness for when I hit 55 years old.

Well that was depressing

I decided to take my measurements and actually get on the stupid scale.  I was feeling a lot like this

It was rather depressing.  I'd done so well losing 24+lbs only to regain 7.5lbs officially as of today and over an inch back in my waist 😢  I mean it was a gut punch.  And a kick in my pants as well.

I can't allow myself to get back to where I was.  Super duper unfit and unhealthy.  I mean at my weight I'm still unfit and unhealthy but far improved over where I was.  I need to get my crap together and restart my health and fitness journey, or rather get moving in the right direction.

I've been enjoying the Peloton treadmills ability to stream a few streaming sites on the screen.  Been watching TV while I do longer walks, as a lot of shows without commercials, are in the 45 min range.

And I need to get back to my weight lifting again.  But I think I'm going to use my Cathe DVDs for a while cause I bought them and I need to use them.  STS Meso 3 is a good lifting set, STS 2.0 is pretty good.  I also love the PS series, and of course the Gym style series.  Then after that, start lifting on my own.

That's about all I have for today.  Gonna spend a nice long weekend mostly alone in the house.  Hubby went off to a GI Joe convention.  Yes, GI Joe.  The doll, err "ACTION FIGURE" LOL.  He collects vintage GI Joes and he's there with my blessing.  I'm going to read my smutty little books, play some video games, mop in the laundry room cause it really needs it. and make some action plans for me getting back on track with my health and fitness. Oh, and pick up some groceries. Cause I'm about out of fruit and veggies cause man, that stuff doesn't stay fresh as long as I wish it did.

Blogging helps keep me accountable

 Probably why

No, really it's more like

But I'm getting a new diet wagon, and deciding maybe I need to get my butt back on it, get back to my workouts. Cause I've backslid.  I've regained 7lbs of the 24lbs I had lost 😢 And my blood sugars have crept up a little bit and that's REALLY not a good thing.  They are not horrible, but not where I want them to be.  And being a nurse, I really know what can happen

My own fault.

Yep, I'm 100% accountable for my backslide.

So it's time to start moving forward again.

I really need to get back to monitoring my food intake  Increase my protein, cut down my carbs, start lifting weights again, getting my steps up and just being a healthier person overall.

You'll be seeing me blog more often cause well, it just seems when I write down my thought and progress, I tend to do better.

Had my Well Woman today... ugh

Ok so maybe it's not the worst thing ever, but ladies, I think we all know that the "scootch to the edge of the table and put your feet in the stirrups" just sucks, right?

By my scale I was up 4lbs 😡  But the doctor said I was actually down from my last weigh in a half a pound so I guess it's good I lost from 6 months ago, but I've gained back some.

Had my lab work done yesterday, everything was good, or has vastly improved from 6 months ago.  My cholesterol and LDL is still just a little high but my cholesterol dropped over 50points and my LDL went down 60 so that's a great thing.   I still need to work on getting those numbers down another 15-20points to be in the healthy range, but it's a great start so I'm happy.  So is my doctor cause I did it without meds!

So I gave myself a "come to Jesus meeting" this morning.  I've been slacking and snacking WAY to much.  And sitting and reading which while is a great hobby to have, it doesn't burn a lot of calories LOL.   But reading also makes me happy, so I just need to balance being more active with my reading time.  And my gaming time cause I'm also a gamer.  I mean if given a chance, I'd happily sit and read half the day, and game the other half and only move enough to prevent bed sores by going to the bathroom and getting snacks and something to drink.  In fact, when I am in a big gaming splurge, I tend to lose a couple pounds cause it's hard to snack when you have both hands on a controller or you're using your hands on the mouse and WSDA keys moving your character.  I have gone all day without eating anything during LONG gaming sessions.

But that's really not healthy.  Fun AF, but not healthy LOL.  To bad I can't get the calorie burn my Dragonborn gets while running up some mountain in Skyrim cause I'd need to eat 5000 calories a day to maintain during long gaming sessions😂

So today, I put my Cathe Live subscription to use.  Something I hadn't done in about 3 weeks, so it was time to get my money's worth out of it.

I did this.

And Mac here was my gym supervisor, soaking up the sunshine

He was a pretty lousy supervisor, but he's cute so it's ok

Tomorrow I'm planning on hitting the spin bike cause it's also been about 3 weeks since I did a spin workout.  Been doing more walking on the tread but I do miss my spin classes, so it's time to get back on the bike.

And maybe on Thur I'll do another Cathe.  I've got some of her leg workouts that it's been a while since I've done.  Probably time to do some of them.

So maybe I'm cheating a bit to much

And maybe just maybe it's been a little more than one per week. 😕

My blood sugars have been about 10 points higher than I'd like them to be, overall. I mean I've had some readings under 100, which is great, but some fasting sugars over 110, which isn't good at all.

And it all comes down to this.  Cheating with to much food, to often.  Sigh. The scale is also not moving.  Good it's not going up, bad it's not going down.  So again, cheating to much.

So time to have a little talk with myself, and get back to counting my macros.  I started today.  It sucks that I have to really pay attention to what I eat, how much I eat, what kind of foods I eat, but it is what it is.

I've also been having fun getting back into my Cathe workouts, and getting back into spinning.  Ok, maybe I've only done 2 spin classes this month, but I was late Oct since I did my last spin workout, so doing 2 this month, and the month isn't over yet, is good for me.  Now I've been using my Peloton tread quite a bit so I'm getting my money's worth out of my membership.  But getting back into spinning has been fun.

Today I'm going to try and do Cathe's Leaner Legs, which has earned the nickname Meaner Legs.  It's been YEARS since I've done this one and I'm a little like EEK. It's from a program called Crosstrain Express, and it's kind of hard.  I'm just going to do lighter weights, do what I can without killing me, and maybe next time, do better.

I'd like to also do 1 Firm workout this week and one Cathe Live workout this week.  Plus a spin and maybe a walk or a walk with stretching/yoga.

I'll keep you all updated.

Back to Cathe, the Firm and Peloton

But first, I have these coming to my mailbox tomorrow.      I sometimes can't help myself with CVG LOL.

I also found this

I found it  And I read it, ok I read some parts of it, and skimmed other parts.  But reading this really made me want to get to using my Firms again.  I have used them off and on sine 1993, when I found Vo 2 in a video store.  Now, I had CRAVED them since I was a teen in the 80s, and saw the commercial for Vo 1 but well we didn't have a VHS player, my parents were "mean" and wouldn't buy one.  But after I had my first daughter, in 1993, we were out in the mall, looking at a video store, and I saw Vo2.  And I snagged it up right away!    Then a couple weeks later I found Vo 1.  I alternated the 2 with some walks outside, and lost all my baby weight.

I now have a whole bunch of Firms.  Most of the older ones. I'm not as much a fan of the newer ones.  But the older ones, ones from the 80s and 90s.  I love them.

I was going start Year One challenge for women with a friend.  She'd do her workouts where she lives, cause she's a few hours away from me, I do mine and we check in with each other.  But between illnesses and she got a little hurt, we're gonna have to put it off for a while.  Maybe in March or April.

So my plan B is doing my Cathe, Firm and Peloton stuff for a while.  I think if I do a blend of the heavy weights from Cathe, pure cardio of Peloton, and the lighter weights of the Firm, that will be a great.

I ended my Wonder Woman rotation at the end of Jan.  It was fun sort of.  I liked the lifting, but well, it's supersets, doing one move, then immediately doing another move,  and in a smaller home gym, the set up between the two moves can be a PIA.   But other than that, I did enjoy getting back to lifting heavy again.  I probably would have had better results had my eating been better.  But well, winter makes me just want to eat all the carbs and nap all the time. So my eating wasn't the best.  But I do think the lifting helped my blood sugars cause they have been pretty good overall.   Thank goodness.

I'm hoping by mid March or early April my friend will be ready to lift and we can "do" our program together.

I don't need another fitness planner...

But man I think I want to get this.

I had this a 2-3 years ago.  And I loved it.  And even though I have a new fitness planner I've been using,  WANT THIS!

And I know I'd use it, but then I'd have another fitness planner I wouldn't be using.  UGH.  I guess I could get this and alternate weeks between the two.

Man my love of Wonder Woman is going to be the bankruptcy of me 😂  If I see a Wonder Woman pair of shoes, I want them.  Wonder Woman notebook, I want it.   Get the picture.

So I'm going to think about getting this.  Its undated so I could get it, keep it any maybe start using it after a few months so I can at least feel like I've gotten some money's worth out of the fitness planner I already have.

My abs are still sore from my workout on Sat, and abs are up today. 😢  I'll push through and try to do as much ab work as I can.  A strong core is so good for everyone, me included.  I've ignored my core work long enough, so now I'm paying for it.

I'll keep you all updated on if I get this planner or not.

Is it spring yet?

Cause I swear this is the forecast for the next couple of days

I mean my area is in a winter storm warning or we will be shortly.   Expected to get over 8 inches of snow.  I'd rather get 1 in of rain with 50 degree temps, but well,  God didn't ask me no did he.

My abs are SO SORE today.  Yesterday's workout, it had abs in, and my abs are weak cause truth be told, I've not been working them much for a few years.

Back in my Firm workout days, when a lot of the Firm workouts had abs in them, and I did the ab workout portion or as much of it as I could. my abs were pretty darn strong.   Same with my CrossFit days.  Lots of core work in CrossFit, but that's been quite a few years ago.  And my abs/core have gotten very weak. And a strong core is just good for your overall health.   So I just need to pick workouts with ab workouts built in and MAKE myself do them

I think after my Wonder Woman program is done, I'll do a couple weeks of The Firm.  I loved the Classics, ok still do.  They are just so good, even though they are outdated with their 1980s outfits, etc, but I LOVE THEM. I mean look at this woman

Miss Susan Harris, the instructor from the Firm Vo1.  That yellow leotard is just a classic in the home workout world.  I remember watching the commercial for this workout, back in the mid 80s.  I was a teen at the time. And my parents didn't have a VHS player, and I wanted this workout SO BAD!!!  I mean so bad.  I begged for weeks for it.  But VHS players were expensive at the time, and well, they didn't think they needed to buy one just so I could workout in the living room 😭

So when the early 90s came around, and I was a grown woman, with a VHS machine lol, I found Vo 1 and Vo 2 in a store.   And I did them so many times, and lost my baby weight from baby number 1 pretty quickly.  Now I have so many Firm workouts, and other workouts, but I will keep my Firm Classics until I die.

Got to say, I'm kind of looking forward to a Firm Classics mini rotation in 4 more weeks.

Being my own Wonder Woman.

I've LOVED Wonder Woman since the TV show, back in about what, 1976-77?  Something like that.  I mean I was a kid, but I loved that show.  So much so,  my mom got me a couple books that were compilations of Wonder Woman comics from the 40s and 50s, and I also had the Wonder Woman action figure. Played with her so much.  I even broke her foot off, cause apparently the Wonder Woman action figure wasn't destined to jump out of her invisible jet AKA the staircase at your grandma's house. I glued her foot back on, and it was mostly ok, esp, with her big red boots to hold her foot on 🤣

But I have always loved strong AF women since then.  Wonder Woman, Ripley from Aliens, Vasquez from Aliens, Xena,  you get the picture.

So I found a workout program that I did a few changes to, partly cause I don't have quite all the equipment to do it, and partly cause I don't want to work my already thick AF calves that much, and I decided to call it Wonder Woman.   It's a 5 week program, 4 workouts a week.

Did week 1 this week.  It went pretty good.  I felt pretty strong.

I also did measurements at the beginning of the year.  A little surprised I was down a little in my waist, navel and hips.  Esp considering I gained about 3.5lbs over the holidays.  I'll take it.  I'm also down half a pound since getting back on track at the beginning of the year, and considering I'm back lifting heavy which comes with some water retention, and I'm taking creatine daily, which also has a little water retention, I'm pretty happy with my weight loss.

I'm going to leave on this note.

It should be illegal!

I mean it really should just be illegal to have any and all metabolic blood work drawn during the holiday seasons.   Ok maybe if you have been very low and all the snacking and cheating would make it better.  But for the rest of us, it should be illegal.

Yes I had fasting blood work drawn today.   It wasn't bad, thank goodness.

My fasting blood sugar was only 100, which actually is pretty good.  My A1C was 6.1 which is the same as last time.  I really REALLY want to get it under 6.  But I've been cheating quite a bit in this last month. so I know that didn't help it go down.

But I had a very wise dietician when I worked in a dialysis unit tell our patients more than once, it's less what you eat between Thanksgiving and the New Year, and more what you eat between the New Year and Thanksgiving.  So as long as my diet gets back on track in the next couple days, I guess it's all ok.  Or will be.   My next round of lab work will be in mid March so in about 3 months, I'll be able to see if my A1C is any better.

I've been going through this book

I forgot how great a book this is.  I hear there is a new version of it out, and maybe I might just try to pick it up sometime.  But I forgot how many workout programs there are in this book.  I might just have to pick one and do it.  Last time I did one of his programs, I had great results, even if my diet at the time wasn't that great.
I also picked these up

These are the Rincon 3.  They are pretty dang comfy.  I'm planning on walking on my treadmill in the mornings 3-4 times a week just to get my blood flowing and my step count up a little bit.  Once winter finally ends, yes I know it has hardly begun, I'm going to walk outside with my fat beagle Odin, but for now, treadmill it is.

Not much to say right now.  Just deciding what workouts to do for the next 4-6 weeks.

First up in my reading!

 Is this book.

I ordered this for my Kindle.  I usually prefer to get my fitness books in actual book form cause sometimes I highlight stuff, and I don't know.  I just like my fitness books to be actual books.

But when I went to place my order, it was out of stock.  I put it in my Amazon cart and there was one left, but by the time I got around to ordering, which was about an hour or more later, it said it was out.

Maybe someone else ordered it, maybe they didn't really have one.  I don't know.  But they did have it  for Kindle and I figured it was better to have it on my Kindle than not at all.

I read the forward last night.  Then I snacked on Cheez Its 🙄 Granted, it was a small amount, but still.  I didn't need them.

I'll review this book when I'm done.

I'm sick BOOOOOO

Ok maybe I'm actually up out of bed, but I napped twice today.  First time was cause I only slept maybe 4 hours before being unable to...
